Ron Paul Question Edited From 1/10/08 South Carolina Debate

In this clip during the SC debates, Rep. Ron Paul was asked if he had any real "electability" or chance to receive the Republican nomination. Before he could answer he was laughed at by the moderators, the candidates, and the audience. His response however, was enough to shut them up. I don't care what side of the party lines you follow or what your opinions on the man are, what he says applies to us all.

His inspiring moment was then cut short by Fox News. Many Fox viewers and tivo advocates have reported that when the debates were replayed, this portion of the debate was cut out and replaced with an earlier question on economy. Yes, the exact same footage used at the beginning of the debate was replayed again over Ron Paul's answer to the notion of electability. I know a lot of Dems take shots at Fox News, and conservatives always respond that the rest of the media is completely liberal, but this sort of censoring is disgusting. How can they call themselves "Fair and Balanced" when they edit portions of debate for the Presidential election? That is not news, it is propaganda. I urge you to listen to Rep. Paul and think about why this part of the debate was replaced. This is a subtle manipulation of voter opinion and ideology by Fox News. For those of you who are Fox supporters think of it this way. It's not you and Fox against everyone else, it's Fox against you. If you watch and enjoy their programming then you are the one who is targeted for manipulation, not the 'liberals' watching CNN or MSNBC. On the brighter side, viewers of the debate voted Ron Paul as the winner of the debate.

UPDATE:
Today Musarraf backed up Ron Paul's assertions about the absurdity of the U.S. govt borrowing money from China so that they could give $10 billion to a military dictator in the name of fighting terror. Musarraf has now stated that the U.S. is not to trespass and will be considered invaders if they do.

Might as well throw in this Ron Paul link, it is Glen Beck interviewing the U.S. Controller General who states that Paul is the only candidate who understands the economy and where it's headed. It's nice to hear support like this for Paul while McCain, Romney, and Huckabee continue to laugh at him for his ideas on fiscal conservatism and the federal reserve.

While we are on the subject, here are some Fox News related links...

Reporters Blow Whistle on Fox News

This video is a very interesting piece on a few reporters who used to work for Fox on a show called "The Investigators." Long story short, they wrote a piece on the ill effects and lax testing of a bovine growth hormone produced by Monsanto, who recently spent millions in advertising on Fox, which they threatened to pull if the piece aired. The reporters were told the piece wouldn't be used and that they shouldn't say anything about it. They were even offered, in writing, a years worth of salary to keep it under wraps. After three years the piece never aired and litigation filed by the reporters was dismissed because falsifying the news is not a crime. Yeah... that about says it all.
